Position – Architectural Technologist

CREATE architects have a vacancy for a full-time, Architectural Technologist in their architects’ studio in Cornwall.

You would join a team located in our open-plan close to St Austell. We are seeking a candidate to help us deliver a range of exciting projects creating inspiring places and spaces. You would be expected to work in a team on a variety of projects principally delivering technical drawings for Building Regulations, construction and tender. Whilst much of the work is local there would also be opportunity to be involved on projects with our studios in London and Braga in Portugal.
Your application should demonstrate the following skills and experience:
· At least 2 years’ experience as a CIAT qualified Architectural Technologist working in the UK;
· Understanding of UK Planning processes and UK Building Regulations;
· CAD experience essential, preferable Revit or equivalent software package.
· A thorough working knowledge of RIBA stages, building regulations and site experience would be advantageous.

About: Create Design Ltd is a mid-sized design orientated architectural practice that undertakes a diverse variety of work in the UK and abroad. Create have been providing bespoke architectural services to a number of different sectors for a number of years ranging from residential, including high end homes, to extensive mixed-use developments. We also design work-places, nurseries, schools and colleges including special education facilities and hospitality including retail and hotels / hostels.
We provide a number of services including architecture interiors, master planning, town planning and principal design.

Position: We are looking for an experienced Senior Architect to work with us on a permanent basis who has the potential to become an Associate.
The right candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:-
Excellent design skills Be able to demonstrate a portfolio of planning permissions and completed projects where the candidate took a senior or leading role Be able to demonstrate competence at all RIBA states Be a team player Demonstrate client care skills Demonstrate they have effectively managed at least one other staff member on a project Demonstrate good time keeping and effective project management and time management skills Demonstrate the ability to assemble a project program Have a good portfolio of sketches and project designs from feasibility drawings to details Have great IT skills, including Revit or ArchiCAD and graphics skills Demonstrate experience in delivering planning consents; the ability to draw up a good pack of information and write a Design & Access Statement and negotiate with the client and planning officers. Have the ability to provide attention to detail, but not lose sight of the bigger picture Be deadline driven.
